This month we’d like to introduce you to singer/songwriter + classically trained pianist, TZAR. This Russian-born, Bay Area-bred beauty is beyond talented, and has been steadily carving out her place in the music industry. This has been no easy feat by any means. In a time where anyone and everyone can put out music, what sets TZAR apart is her natural ability to captivate her audience through her beautiful voice and song writing. I am also humbled to have a personal friendship with her, and have been witness to her incredible work ethic and growth. She has continued to persevere in one of the hardest industries, and has done so with immense style and grace.

TZAR has been featured and written songs with  KSHMR, Zed’s Dead, JOHN K, K. Flay, Promnite, Falcons, B.Lewis and Hoodboi, just to name a few. For her debut EP, she has been closely working with grammy nominated & multi-platinum producer Djemba Djemba, who brings the classic feel of her roots (i.e. Whitney Houston, Madonna, Cindy Lauper) into 2020 and beyond. Her most recent single  ‘what ur lookin’ for’, out now via all streaming platforms, captures the essence of the EP; dreamy 80’s pop music through the lens of the 21st century. One of my favorite lyrics from the single is “Your’e holding on to something, living up to nothing” which speaks to the her ability to articulate vulnerability, all the while creating an anthem that makes you want to dance.
